hello all. i'm making small updates to my site today. and by small updates i mean placing a shitload of graphics and useless widgets. i still need to have a more robust understanding of HTML and CSS before i can really do anything impressive, but it's fun to put little doo-dads all over my page. i even found a decent radio widget that plays a stream of my favorite independent radio station. really wish i could make it look cuter...that will be a future project
a vision for the future
do you find that having a project to fuss over really helps with your overall mood? i certainly needed something fun to tinker with. things are really dire, aren't they? despite it all, i do think a better future is possible. it's easy to point out all our problems, but we as people who strive for better seem to really struggle to visualize what a better world could look like. this is something i've been thinking about a lot. i think all the solutions are right in front of us, the trouble is getting these solutions implemented. a lot of oppressive forces (not to mention the sheer apathy of so many) seek to obstruct true justice and make our goals that much harder. still, we must persist. the only other choice is to do nothing, which is what we've been doing this whole time and that's not exactly working out so well.

that's gonna be all from me today. i need to return to w3schools and figure out css once and for all. what are you all up to today? i hope everyone has at least a few moments of peace today while you get all your little chores and tasks done.
